This rare AHM #431 set features a beautifully painted brass 4-car representation of the famous Union Pacific M-10000 "City of Salina" streamliner. Manufactured in Japan in the late 1970s to early 1980s, the cars remain in pristine new condition with sharp factory paint and lettering. The original box shows typical minor age and handling wear but remains structurally sound with intact foam inserts protecting the models.
The real M-10000 was a groundbreaking 1934 Union Pacific articulated streamliner, one of the first diesel-powered high-speed passenger trains in America. Nicknamed the "Tin Worm," it pioneered sleek Art Deco styling and operated the Kansas City to Salina route before retirement in 1941. This detailed HO brass model captures that pioneering spirit and makes an outstanding display or operational piece on any layout.

CONDITION DETAILS: This AHM #431 set is new old stock and completely unused other than cars removed from box for photographing. The item has not been electrically or otherwise tested on a track - it's not uncommon for old stock locomotives to need lubrication or other maintenance in order to run or run properly - sold as-is. The brass cars are in pristine condition with excellent factory paint and no wear. The original box exhibits typical signs of age and shelf wear but is very good overall, with intact foam inserts.
