New old stock 1955-60 GM / Sun Electric Corporation Model RB (50) tachometer. General Motors Genuine Parts (Group 9.750, Part No. 3781532). Excellent unused condition; transmitter and mounting bracket not included.
This is a scarce original Sun Electric Corporation Model RB tachometer head (5000 RPM) from the classic two-piece era for 1955-60 vintage V-8s (and other similar). These half-sweep “football” style tachs were the performance instrument of choice for hot rods, muscle cars, and early drag racing before the full-sweep Super Tach took over. The head requires a matching Sun transmitter (EB-series or equivalent, sold separately) for operation and does not include a mounting bracket or cup.
It comes with the original electrical connection screws and a set of instructions (note: the included instructions are for the related Model RC tachometer head). The unit is new old stock, never installed or used, and remains in excellent condition. It was factory-packaged for sale through General Motors Parts Division. The original GM box shows expected age-related wear with torn flaps but is basically intact and still displays the part information.

CONDITION DETAILS: The tachometer head itself is in excellent new condition—never installed or used, with clean face, needle, and housing. Electrical connection screws are present.
